ISLAMABAD, May 19: Opposition leader in National Assembly (NA) Syed Khursheed shah has said the decision of International Court of Justice (ICJ) on matter of Kulbhushan Jadhav is a setback for us.
” ICS decision on Kulbhushan Jadhav issue is a set back for us. Had foreign minister been appointed and case had been presented by our attorney general then the results would have been different”, he said this while talking to media men here Friday.
The judgment of ICJ on Kulbhushan Jadhav case is a clear cut proof of failure of Nawaz Government and now doubts have increased regarding any further headway in the case which is a matter of great concern for us, he remarked.
Prime Minister (PM) has kept the post of foreign minister with him and that is the main reason we are suffering defeat at international and diplomatic level , he held. Had permanent foreign minister been appointed and Kulbhushan case had been presented by an attorney general before ICJ rather than an inexperienced man then the results would have been different, he held.
The case of Kulbhushan is the case of nation’s survival and for nation’s representation PM should discharge his constitutional obligations. Otherwise 200 million people would never forgive PM by giving their verdict on this matter.
Replying to a question Khursheed said Sajal Jindal came to Pakistan but government kept his visit secret and no one including PM and his spokesperson said any thing about his visit. This is a question mark on government vision and good governance, he added. -Online
