ISLAMABAD, February 15: Foreign Office Spokesperson Muhammad Nafees Zakaria says Pakistan direly needs nuclear energy for development and progress. He said this in an interview in Islamabad. To a question, he said Pakistan is a peace loving country and the international community is acknowledging its efforts to curb terrorism. He said terrorism is not the issue of Pakistan alone rather it is a worldwide phenomenon. The spokesperson said the United States is providing F-16 jets to Pakistan to fight terrorism. He said Pakistan is still waiting for a positive response from India regarding the incident of Samjhota Express. He rejected the allegations leveled by the under detention accused David Headley saying his statement carries no weight.-Sabah
