Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif is being investigated on the charges of having carried out organized flight of capital from the country without which the purchase of the expensive London flats would not have been possible.
And Imran Khan, the key Opposition Leader in the country is being investigated on the ‘charges’ of having brought capital from abroad into Pakistan to build his home here.
Chief Justice Saqib Nisar is reported to have remarked that facts would definitely be unearthed come what may. Even though these remarks have been made in the context of Imran Khan’s case, these are even more relevant to the case of Mian Nawaz Sharif.
The charges against Imran Khan are of two kinds.
Number One: He may have misstated certain facts regarding the transfer of money from U.K to Pakistan, and regarding the details of his settlement with his ex-wife.
Number Two: His political campaign has been funded from abroad too, which as per the N-League is treason.
Regarding the first charge, Jemmima has twice tweeted that all facts stated by Imran Khan are true.
Regarding the second charge, let us return all money sent to Pakistan by the overseas Pakistanis so as to avoid being accused of Treason. Pakistan’s economy is running on money coming from abroad either through home remittances, or in the form of loans secured by Ishaque Dar.
In the case of the investigations against the Prime Minister, the proceedings are being extended unnecessarily.
All that is required is a simple DEMAND on the part of the Judges to the Sharif family.
“Whosoever owns the London flats may please come forward and give us the Registered documents of ownership in original. We will examine these, and return immediately: The case will stand resolved in five minutes.
Prime Minister needs to be told also:
“Sir you are being investigated for the simple reason that you are Prime Minister. You have the power to make or unmake this country’s future.”
