Puncturing the claim of Pakistan that it arrested Kulbhushan Yadhav on its own soil, an ex-ISI official has issued a statement that diminished the authenticity of the Field General Court Martial (FGCM)’s decision of issuing a death sentence to him for being a double agent for India and his involvement in subversive activities in Pakistan.
Yadhav was arrested on March 3rd, 2016, through a counter intelligence operation in Balochistan’s Mashkel area for his involvement in espionage and sabotage activities against Pakistan, the Inter- Services Public Relations (ISPR) said,
“The spy was tried through Field General Court Martial (FGCM) under the Pakistan Army Act (PAA) and awarded the death sentence. Today Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa confirmed his death sentence awarded by FGCM,” the military’s media wing said.
Following the death sentence of Yadhav, Narendra Modi, has actively been issuing strongly worded statements against the government of Pakistan and its intentions. Summoning Pakistan’s High Commissioner to New Delhi Abdul Basit in subtle hostility and handed over a demarche saying, ” if this sentence against an Indian citizen, awarded without observing basic norms of law and justice, is carried out, the government and people of India will regard it as a case of premeditated murder.”
Moreover the Indian Ministry of External Affairs in its statement claimed that “the proceedings that led to the sentence against Yadhav are farcical in the absence of any credible evidence against him.” Obviously, the orator is silent on India’s current activities against Pakistan, particularly its covert war being waged from Afghanistan through its agents who have infiltrated Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) of which Yadhav was allegedly a part of.
Unanticipated that a key asset will expose Yadhav the evil plans of India and its spy were deterred in the most embarrassing way. India received the shock of the history when Kulbhushan was sentenced. Despite the BJP-RSS government staying extremely hawkish towards Pakistan as well as the Indian minorities, they had to take a step back in the wake of the circumstances. The brutal state terrorism in Indian occupied Kashmir further exposes the designs of the regime they follow. Despite the International isolating atmosphere the Indian regime has decided to go an extra mile to save its serving intelligence officer who was involved in terror financing, terrorism and activities of sabotage inside a sovereign state making India’s international position more complex. Not exactly very secretive about their agenda, the Indian officials have time and again admitted to their intentions of for clues as to what Indian spooks are up to now. In fact, its spies are promoting and exploiting the ethnic, regional, religious and sectarian fault lines that exist in Pakistan. RAW is instigating and thriving on the chaos gripping the Islamic Republic. Extrapolating from the speech Ajit Doval delivered before he was appointed by Indian Prime Minister Modi as his National Security Advisor (NSA) we can gauge the nature of war that the Indian government plans to engage us in:
“How do we tackle Pakistan? .. You make it difficult for them (Pakistan) to manage their internal security… Pakistan’s vulnerability is many many times higher than India’s….Taliban have beheaded 23 of their (Pakistani) soldiers…funding can be countered by giving more funds…more than one-and-a-half times the funding they have available and they’ll be yours..the Taliban are mercenaries…go for more of a covert thing”
Recently, the Indian media has been running a fabricated version of the interview with an ex-ISI official who also happens to be a defense analyst which says that Kulbhushan was arrested in Iran and not Balochistan by the Pakistan Army. Rubbishing the Indian media’s assertions, Lt. Gen. Shoaib said on Pakistani Media: “The video [circulated on the Indian media] is doctored. I have countless recorded interviews with many television channels including Geo News, where I have clearly said that Yadhav was operating from [Iranian port city of] Chabahar but was apprehended in Balochistan.”
Infuriated at being misquoted by the Indian Media, the ex-ISI official disclosed that the word “operated” has been conveniently snipped out from his recorded interview. “They [Indian army] do such disgraceful things and don’t understand that these tactics won’t help them,” he said, adding that the unedited versions of his interviews with the Pakistani media are readily available on the internet. Furthermore, to discredit the Indian Media’s actions, Lt Gen (retd) Shoaib also recollected and reminded us of an incident where a recorded video of his with a statement on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor was doctored by the Indian media.
Furthermore, he reasoned the shaky stance of Indian government since the beginning of the issue. Initially New Delhi did not accept Yadhav as an Indian and turned its face away from his issue. Then they backtracked and claimed he was not only an Indian but also a retired officer of the Indian Navy. Not a serving officer but rather he had started his business at Chabahar after retirement from where he was picked up by the Pakistani intelligence.
Being indecisive about a man’s association is one thing and blatantly trying to propagate and delude the world is another. A gazillion questions arise due to the constant 180 degree fluctuation between accepting or declining his association with the Indian intelligence. Had he not been related to intelligence then on what grounds had India issued him fake identity papers? And if he is a retired military officer then does he go by name of Hussain Mubarak Patel or Kulbhushan Yadhav? Similarly, if he is not a serving officer, how does the Indian Home Minter Rajnath Singh plan to invoke the Vienna Convention, when the convention solely deals with serving military officers?
Now to refute the last claim, that Yadhav was abducted from Chabahar, Iran, shouldn’t the Iranian government officially take up the matter in the International community directly involving Pakistan instead of secretively approaching New Delhi? Actually, after the initial investigations, the Iranians instead of backing up India’s claims went on a defensive and issued a statement completely disregarding any truth in India’s claims.
