- Submits Jemima’s documents in SC
ISLAMABAD, June 14: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan on Wednesday filed a petition in the apex court accusing Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar of creating hindrances in probe of Panama Papers Case.
The petition further stresses to compel state institutions to implement court orders under article-190.
The petition accuses Nawaz Sharif of using public office to initiate a campaign aimed at defamation of judiciary and joint investigation team (JIT) constituted to probe Sharif’s offshore assets.
The petition further writes that federal ministers, spokesperson and PM’s designated leaders are incessantly targeting Panamagate JIT.
Meanwhile, Imran Khan submitted a money trail of Bani Gala property being received from Jemima in Supreme Court (SC).
Sources told that Jemima has asked the authorities not to disclose the details regarding bank accounts, letters from Luxembourg bank and other documents.
On the other hand, the lawyer of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hanif Abbasi has said that his client is agreed on sending Imran Khan’s disqualification and foreign funding case to Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). During the hearing, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar has said that the judicial bench would prepare the questions to be sent to the commission.-DNA
