- Says no one is ready to ask PML-N over threats to judiciary and children of the judges
- Says Nawaz is no more honest and Ameen as he is facing corruption charges
KARACHI, June 16: Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah has asked Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to dissolve National Assembly if he is truthful, saying that If I were prime minister, I would have appeared before joint investigation team (JIT) after tendering resignation.
Khursheed Shah was expressing these views while talking to media outside the Sindh Assembly in Karachi on Friday.
He termed behaviour of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) with judiciary lamentable. Shah said that Pakistan is being made banana republic. He said no one is ready to ask them and no one ready to take action against them. He said no one is ready to ask them over threats to judiciary and children of the judges.
Shah challenged Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to resign and dissolve assembly in order to prove his innocence. Shah dared the prime minister to approach the court of masses while dissolving National Assembly.
He said that everything ends with the appearance of Prime Minister in the JIT as accused if there exist moral values in the country.
Khursheed Shah claimed that Panamagate JIT is downgrading its value by approaching Qatari prince in Doha. He said JIT is part of Supreme Court, adding that there was pressure when the case was in Supreme Court and there is pressure on the JIT.
He alleged that Nawaz Sharif was no more honest and Ameen as he was facing corruption allegations. “Sindh Assembly would remain unaffected if National Assembly faces tough time,” asserted Khursheed Shah.
He said that he knows who is dancing puppets dance and who is getting the puppets danced, saying that Prime Minister knows well the puppets dance.
He said that with the reading of written speech by the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif it looked to me that Prime Minister does not have any truth. He said that there is no section in the constitution that the provincial assembly is also dissolved when the National Assembly is dissolved.
Khursheed Shah said that as to why Prime Minister addressed the nation and came in the National Assembly and gave clarifications if he did not commit anything. Shah said he could that the JIT has asked the questions from prime minister regarding his address to nation and address in parliament and about Qatari letter. He said prime minister has done nothing why he addressed the nation and present clarification in National Assembly.
Shah said that Mian Sahib is a king and innocent person. He said prime minister is not a clever person. Shah said it is his desire that the assemblies should complete their term. Shah said Nawaz Sharif had said he will hold the dictator accountable, adding that in some things Nawaz Sharif become weak. He said when Nawaz Sharif was shown the mirror he allowed that person to go abroad.-Sabah
