The political atmosphere of the country is getting murkier by the day .The Shareef family is licking its wounds after the Supreme court disqualified a couple of its members including the former PM in the Panama leaks’ s case recently. The former PM has yet to reconcile himself to the fact that his time was up and that he had better now contest corruption cases in the court of law for getting his name cleared instead of taking to street and indulging in mud- slinging on the court and the establishment and blaming them for his ouster from power.
A muted indirect propaganda was leashed by the PML(N) and its political allies against the court and the establishment soon after the supreme court handed down its judgement. What is pitiable is the fact that the senate chairman too lent his voice to the anti- court and establishment chorus in question. The most ridiculous statement has come from the Sind governor that even now the real prime minister of the country is Nawaz Sharif who has selected his own person to run the show on his behalf .
In the days to come the former prime minister is going to flex his muscles by staging public rallies in different part of the countries.
