Trump’s new policy for Afghanistan and South Asia is constantly receiving hypercritical response mostly from Pakistan side which seems quite natural and most expected one . Much awaited policy had nothing new in it except a superlative tone against Pakistan in repeating the old allegations combined with tough worded threats . Those who understand the American regional designs, in the larger global scheme, precisely guessed the over all pattern of the policy . Surprisingly , few quarters are responding in a manner as if this policy has suddenly fallen on us from no where . Reacting with an unprepared posture is really strange . A professional team in foreign office was expected to predict the upcoming onslaught with a set of multiple responses to plead our case . Usually , we do not respond to such developments in a usual manner . Any how , response is there from usual quarters and we are as usual busy in useless funny debate that who spoke prior to whom ? Old blame is there that Pakistan sponsors terrorism in Afghanistan . Similar rhetoric was played in Indo – USA joint declarations during past two years .
Terrorism , the global monster being fought today has a variable meaning and understanding for various countries . Say for example , the Kashmiri freedom fighters, for the much appeasement of India , are now the global terrorists in the eyes of America . By this stance , Pakistan earns the status of a state sponsoring terrorism in Kashmir . Unfortunately , the most controversial military campaign led by USA on Afghan soil with the even most vague objectives has deepen the local fault lines by perpetuating vast unrest through installing inefficient rootless corrupt regimes. This is happening in Afghanistan since past more than 16 years . As per American standards , the Afghan Taliban are the terrorists being sponsored by Pakistan . Interestingly , the warlords , criminals , and drug mafia gangsters of northern alliance hailing from Uzbek , Tajik and various bordering Central Asian ethnicities are the ‘innocent allies’ . Reconstruction role for India in Afghanistan is another lethal joke for this war ridden region .
Before analyzing the absurdity and biasness of American view about Afghan issue , let’s focus upon few of our sensitive internal disorders. How meaningfully coincidental is the fact that all allegations framed against Pakistan in Trump’s policy appeared broadly in ‘ Dawn Leaks’ ? It is not only the much talked about notorious dawn leak report authored by Mr Cyrial Almeida rather a major part of local English media regularly projected against Pakistan the venomous theme of ‘ terror sponsoring’ . It is not difficult to unearth the foreign linkage of of these so called media quarters . Only a fool hardy can remain oblivious of the fact that why a highly flawed perspective on regional matters persistently appears in our local English papers from the writers who are mostly stationed abroad either serving in some University or dependent for bread and butter on various think tanks . Question rightly arises that why an extra ordinary space is granted to such foreign based writers who also enjoy another dubious commonality of some foreign academic scholarship .
The fact is that the state has proved herself a fool hardy on this account and kept the eyes closed from the multiple dubious practices of media . Similar inaction policy is being maintained about INGOs who are actively busy in promoting every idea mostly undesired and objectionable for our society . Poison is being sold with the sugarcoating of ‘free media’ , ‘freedom of speech’ ‘ democracy’ and ‘ liberal cum secular values’ . Do we really require intellectual input from the ‘ paid employees’ or ‘ contractors’ of foreign think tanks like Hudson institute ,STRATFOR , Carnegie endowment projects , etc . Don’t we know that what sort of intellectual activity takes place in such think tanks ? World has witnessed the disastrous outcomes of venomous intellect of these think tanks in Iraq , Syria and Libya . Definitely , these highly glamorized forums serve the purpose of their respective states and financiers . So they are doing the job assigned but the problem rests precisely here at our end where so called intellectuals cease to think independently due to multiple complexes and indulge in blind campaigning of foreign perspectives with obvious negative intentions . We have listened so much about terrorism , extremism and fundamentalism from western quarters . Why not a single objection about the worst religious hatred and violence being displayed by Israel against Palestinians ? Why a different gauge for Kashmir ? Why not a single question about 16 years stay of USA in Afghanistan ? We , the real stake holders of Pakistan , should precisely understand the pattern of global scheming and its impact as well as fallouts on regional dynamics . Let’s not befool ourselves to the intellectual dishonesty of foreign sponsored media quarters . These so called intellectuals will never disclose that American quest in this region is not aimed against terrorism rather it is primarily focused towards absolute domination of Eurasian region . Conversion of Eurasian region into ‘Poacher’s Paradise’ is the ultimate objective of American Vulture who is leering upon all regional players from Afghanistan and military bases in Japan .
Incursion in Russian maritime boundaries through Japan , an advance from Poland in eastern Russia and Indian influence in south china sea will be the desired American order for the region . Toppling down the region by creating new hegemons is actually a recipe of absolute disorder . American campaign in Afghanistan has nothing to do with terrorism or Jihadist groups . These slogans or titles are being used as wrapper to conceal the abhorrent aims . Though , it has nothing to do with terrorism but America can go along with a war against self created Jihadist groups for even about half a centaury to protect the prime stakes . What Pakistan needs now , after opening of Trump’s policy , is to rapidly put own house in order . America will be moving forward in the form of air or drone strikes to embarrass the Pakistan .We have no dearth of media cronies sitting ready to generate hue and cry by diverting the attentions towards the armed forces . We need to be actively engaged with regional partners china , Russia and Iran to handle the upcoming pressure . One more thing to keep in focus is that the much talked about policy is not exclusive for Pakistan rather it deals with South Asia and most of the regional players understand the implications too . The world is not like as the western think tanks and their paid employees project in the media . If America is really worried about the terrorism , then a crystallized stance must surface about Pakistan’s hardcore concerns , First , who has been sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan ?
Why TTP terrorists are being harbored in Afghanistan ? What Pakistan’s nukes has to do with American campaign in Afghanistan ? Why America has been double crossing Pakistan by deputing Black Water’contract killers , asking for elimination of Afghan Taliban and seeking a dialogue with same Taliban regime through multiple back door channels ? Can America come out with any agreement that much talked about billion dollars aid was extended with the pre condition that Pakistan is duty bound to clear the mess created by America by actively interfering in Afghanistan ? We should be absolutely justified in saying that India may suit the best for the job being wrongly expected from Pakistan by America.
