SHEIKHUPURA, February 17: At least seven terrorists of proscribed outfits Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Lashkr-e-Jhangvi were killed in an alleged shootout in Sharqpur area of Sheikhupura on Wednesday.
On a tip off, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) raided a hideout in Nazir Labana area of Sharqpur where the terrorists were planning sabotage activities. They opened indiscriminate fire and hurled hand grenades on police personnel having been seen them.
In retaliation, around seven terrorists were killed and their five accomplices succeeded in fleeing the scene.
Police have recovered a car, three motorcycles, huge cache of ammunition, four pistols and one Kalashnikov form the site.
The bodies of the terrorists were shifted to DHQ Hospital Sheikhupura for autopsy. -Online
