The Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Saqib Nisar has spoken. Not that he has not spoken before. He has, on a number of occasions, expressed his solidarity with the concept of “unhampered, unadulterated and undirected justice”. But the other day he spoke impassionedly and in a charged and irritated tone. He was indirectly responding to the ‘savage’ and ‘no-holds-barred’ attacks on the Supreme Court Judges and the High Judiciary by the N-League leaders—particularly Maryam Nawaz and her sacked and dishonoured father.
Many like me believe that the ‘rogue politicians’ have taken advantage of the extreme patience, leniency and coolness that the CJ has displayed in the face of highly provocative insults that the likes of Maryam and Nawaz and their cronies have flung at the honourable judges for their failure to get intimidated by the POWER that the ‘accused’ can wield.
The ‘politicians’ who have for the first time been questioned for their SORDID DEEDS obviously have started believing that they can get away with MURDER. Mian Nawaz Sharif has vowed to launch a public movement against the Judges and the Judiciary that have dared to question HIM. This I believe amounts to AN ANNOUNCED MISSION TO SHOOT TO KILL.
Will the CJ take this MISSION against Pakistan’s key INSTITUTION with ‘permissive’ patience?
