QUETTA, March 18: : Chairman Senate, Mir Sadiq Sanjrani, on Sunday ruled out hand of establishment in his selection for top slot of the Upper House of the Parliament.

Talking to journalists, Sanjrani said there is no truth in claims that the ‘establishment’ backed him.

He added lawmakers from across the country backed him and elected him as Chairman Senate.

Mir Sadiq Sanjrani claimed that chief minister Balochistan nominated him and five other independent candidates endorsed the nomination backed by major political parties including PTI and PPP.

“It was the group of these 6 which earned support of senators across the country, Sanjrani added.

On occasion, Chairman Senate expresses gratitude to the lawmakers, PTI chief Imran Khan and PPP leader Asif Ali Zardari for their backing. Mir Sadiq Sanjrani also vowed to work for betterment of Balochistan.-DNA
