Ambassador Sherali while talking about the CASA 1000 project said, the project was in the final stages of completion and once completed it will adequately address energy related needs of Pakistan.
He said people to people contacts were yet another area where both countries needed to expand cooperation. He at the same time hinted at the role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan towards this end. He hoped Pakistani side too shall extend required cooperation in order to meet targets set by leaderships of both countries. It may be mentioned that nobody from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs attended the seminar, which was quite surprising for the guests.
The Chairman of CGSS LT. Gen ® Zaheerul Islam also spoke on the occasion and thanked the Tajik delegates for participating in the conference and making it a success.- DNA
