SRINAGAR, February 21: In Indian Held Kashmir, an Indian Army Captain and three soldiers were killed in an attack on a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) convoy near Pampore.
According to KMS, the encounter is still continuing even after over 14 hours. Police claimed that at least three Mujahideen are holed up inside a government building complex of the Entrepreneurship Development Institute in the area.
Army personnel, whose elite 15 Corps headquarters is located barely 10 km from the encounter site, were rushed to assist the police and the CRPF.
Three CRPF troopers and a civilian died since last night while nine other troopers were injured in the firefight that erupted when Mujahideen attacked the building after attacking a convoy of the paramilitary forces on the highway in Pampore.
The gunfight erupted yesterday afternoon after Mujahideen attacked the CRPF convoy.
An Indian captain was killed in fresh firing at Entrepreneurship Development Institute building where an encounter is underway since yesterday evening, police said.
