Fortunate are the nations and countries whose leadership is in the hands of those people whose financial integrity is impeccable, who keep themselves abreast of the problems of common man and who are sincere in solving them as early as possible. They are always on the look out for new projects aimed at amelioration of the lot of the teeming millions who live hand to mouth.
Our leaders are never tired of saying that our friendship with China is deeper than oceans and taller than mountains but one wishes they had also launched projects and schemes on the pattern launched by the Chinese leadership for the good of the common man in China.
Wo betide countries whose leadership falls in the hands of corrupt people.
Beijing has been implementing a social welfare programme billed as social credit system under which those citizens score positive points in government record who regularly pay all utility bill on time, whose behaviour on the roads is good and who care about their aged parents. Those of them who lack these qualities get negative points as a result of which they become ineligible from availing many facilities which persons scoring positive points enjoy like admitting their children to good schools, getting bank loans on easy instalments etc etc. The worst part is that their name is also entered in the national register of bad people which is a stigma and in order to get their name struck off from the said register they have to score positive points by removing their defects. This scheme has already affected over one crore bad Chinese since 2014 when it was introduced . By 2020 it will have covered the entire China’s population. The reason behind quoting this instance is that good leaders are always busy in finding new ways and means to improve the lot of their people.
