With the passing of every day one notices increase in the frustration of Nawaz Sharif. The rift between him and his younger brother on many political issues is also surfacing by the day. Some things are better left unsaid. The daughter of the former prime minister is two steps ahead of him when it comes to appearing before the TV camera and making a political statement almost daily. It is not difficult to decipher as to who are being targeted by the father and his daughter. Both of them have proved themselves to be past master in making enemies. They have to blame none but themselves for the predicament they find themselves in today. Secure in the knowledge that he is going to get his just deserts sooner or later the former PM has started indulging in innuendos against some state organs which do not behove a person who happened to be prime minister of this country thrice. There is an old saying that sometimes the sins of the parents visit upon their children.
Nobody wants to sit pretty in a sinking ship. There is an old proverb that rats start deserting the ship which is about to drown. Many of his party men have already left the former PM and many more are likely to show him their back soon. Nobody bets on a horse whose chances of winning the race appear slim. Though Nawaz Sharif says he is going to fight his political battle to the end but let us admit he has been fighting a losing battle. Odds are against him. There is not even an outside chance of his party winning enough seats in the forthcoming polls. His adamancy is going to rock the boat of his brother Shahbaz Sharif too who has been aspiring since long to become the next PM of the country.
