Relations with Afghanistan need to be repaired. Through a concerted diplomatic and media campaign the common Afghani is to be assured that Pakistan and its people have tremendous love and regard for their Afghan brethren and they expect that rulers of Afghanistan would stop playing into the hands of India which is bent upon destabilising Pakistan by using the soil of Afghanistan as a launching pad for its subversive activities against us. We are not averse to the coming and going of the Afghanis to Pakistan but in order to ensure that the Indian spies and their agents do not take undue advantage of open unchecked traffic between these two countries it is necessary that passport and visa system is strictly enforced for all types of movement between Pakistan and Afghanistan. The fencing of the Durand Line is also being done with the same intention by Pakistan. It is going to be beneficial for Afghanistan also as Afghan rulers have been saying quite vociferously that subversive element enter Afghanistan through Pakistan.
Pakistan must mend fences with Russia. Through diplomatic channels we should remove all misunderstandings of Moscow on our anti-Russia role in the past in the America-led Cold War against the then Soviet Union. We must also make it clear on both Saudi Arabia and Iran that while we would be happy if they sink their political and sectarian differences , we have no intention, whatever, , to becoming a party in their centuries-old political and sectarian animosity. They also need to be told not to fight their sectarian war on our soil by bankrolling their proxy religious groups in Pakistan.
A diplomatic offensive also needs to be launched in the UN for keeping the pot of Kashmir issue on the boil in that world forum by spotlighting the grown and growing atrocities of Indian forces on Kashmiri freedom fighters.
