ISLAMABAD, August 28: Law Minister Senator Farogh Naseem says Pakistan will effectively raise the issue regarding continuous display of abusive and blasphemous material against the Holy Prophet (PBUH) at international fora.
In an interview with Radio Pakistan’s Current Affairs Channel on Tuesday, he said that Prime Minister Imran Khan intends to raise the issue at the United Nations and other forums as per Human Rights Conventions.
He said that Organization of Islamic Countries, as representative of world Muslims, should also highlight the sensitivity of this issue. Senator Farogh Naseem said the issue of blasphemous material is an issue of whole Ummah and a collective effort should be made to counter such activities.
To a question the Minister said that the government is committed to retrieve the looted money from abroad. He said the Task Force formed to detect money and assets has started its working on fast track basis. -DNA
