Necessary administrative steps

Imran Khan hit the nail on the head by asking the media to wait for at least three months before starting criticism of any policy of his government. It is unfair to start sitting in judgement over any new political set up which is in office for only a few days.
The biggest problem being faced by the new government is in the sphere of economy. The first and foremost task of the new rulers would be to document the national economy without which fair and just taxation is simply not possible. It is , by no means, an easy task. The PTI’s chief statement that a fund raising scheme from the overseas Pakistan is being undertaken is laudable but it is not a panacea of our economic woes. The top gun, the dirty rich, euphemistically called as the elite class would have to be brought under tax net if we are to increase our revenues . This is certainly not an easy task. It would be interesting to see how would some of the MNAs who are now part and parcel of the PTI and who are billionaires going to respond to their government’s harsh preventive, punitive or legal economic measures which it would, per force, have to take to satisfy the electorate and which might affect their economic interests!
It would have been far better if the PM had kept his cabinet to a bare minimum of 15 members . Many ministries could have been clubbed together easily and handed over to one minister. It would have been also better if the MNAs and MPAs , who had contested 2018 elections on more than one seat , and now have vacated one seat , had not managed party tickets for their next of kin to contest the bye- elections. Doesnt this practice promote dynastic politics?
