Coming up with donations in the cause of National Reconstruction is not only an act of patriotism, but also of chivalrous magnanimity. In a country whose moneyed classes excel in the art of tax-evasion which by implication means theft of public money. Those who contribute even a small part of their earnings to the causes that have no direct or immediate bearing on them, are indeed National Heroes.
And Pakistan is a country not just of the thieves, the plunderers, the land-grabbers, the money-launderers, the priests of the temple of greed, and the lovers of regally imperial life style— Pakistan is also a land of superlative heroes who lay down their lives for their faith and their country, who undertake tasks of monumental nature for the good of the country and her people, and of hard-working wage-earners who don’t hesitate to donate a part of their earnings for the causes dear to their hearts and souls.
Who created the Edhi Legend if not the people of Pakistan?
Who created the Shaukat Khanum Hospital legend, if not the people of Pakistan?
Another great great legend is in the making. In this legend the high-note voice is that of Justice Saqib Nisar.
Not failing to supplement it is the voice of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
There is no stopping this legend —jointly authored by the three key leaders of this Nation—the COAS included.
