ISLAMABAD, October 8: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday announced to establish a complaint cell in his office where the Premier himself and other members of National Assembly will directly listen to the grievances of public.
According to details, the complaint cell will comprise 40 telephone lines and will be approachable during office hours. The cell can be contacted via WhatsApp and email as well.
The complaints related to bureaucracy will be heard on priority among others. With an opportunity of having a complaint cell, where the Prime Minister and other MNAs will be all ears to the public issues, now any oppressed person from across Pakistan will be able to highlight the wrongdoings of the society.
In its first 100 days of governance, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has taken a number of steps for the well-being of its people, wherein few notable measures include austerity drive, 5-year plan for polio elimination, plantation and cleanliness campaigns.
Later today, Prime Minister Imran Khan, while launching the countrywide ‘Clean and Green Pakistan’ campaign, urged people from all social strata to make it a success by actively participating in it.
“This campaign is for our future. Everyone has to partake in it,” the prime minister urged, lamenting: “Pakistan is a gift but unfortunately we haven’t paid attention to its beautification.”
Emphasizing that the government alone cannot bring about change, Mr Khan urged members of the civil society to complement efforts of the government by creating necessary awareness about sanitation and environmental issues.- DNA
