All corruption has deadly consequences for a society. A society that is not raised on moral values is bound to perish sooner or later as Allah clearly says in His Book. And moral values are related to too key instinctive requirements of man— money and sex. Allah has unambiguously defined the conditions under which and the boundaries within which man can meet these requirements. The fundamental rule in both the cases is that man should be able to declare his or her pursuits in the realm of each— sex and money. In both those realms DOs and DON’Ts have been clearly stated in the code of conduct prescribed by Allah.
Sex is not a subject under discussion here. Corruption related to money is what that has engaged the whole nation in a big big way since the Panama Leaks occurred on April 03, 2016.
Off course Imran Khan’s politics had since long been revolving around the corruption rampant in the country’s political culture, but his war on corruption gained momentum after the Panama Leaks.
Things have not been the same since then. His war on corruption has led him straight into the Prime Minister’s house in 115 weeks after Mian Nawaz Sharif went on record to declare that he had nothing to do with Panama Leaks and the London properties allegedly owned by his family.
Without going into unnecessary details in this respect I want to state here that fiscal corruption is also of two kinds. One that is indulged in, by those who sell the authority of their ‘signatures’ or ‘words’ to enhance their fiscal worth. And the other is indulged in, by those who buy the authority of the ‘signatures’ or ‘words’ of those who have the decisive SAY.
Presently the war on corruption largely is and should entirely be restricted to those who have indulged in trading the value of their words or signatures. It is estimated that these TRADERS OF AUTHORITY might have stolen a hundred trillions from the National Treasury or the Taxpayers’ money in the last quarter of a century or so.
The Corruption that the rest have indulged in, can be taken care of later.
