ISLAMABAD, October 21: Prime Minister Imran Khan along with 16-member delegation comprising ministers and investors leaves for Saudi Arabia on Monday to participate in ‘Future Investment Initiative’ conference beginning in Riyadh on Tuesday.
He is paying the visit on special invitation of King Salman Bin Abdel Aziz.
The conference termed as “Davos in the Desert” will bring leading businesspersons, investors, corporate giants, representatives of hi-tech industry and major media outlets at one platform.
Prime Minister Imran Khan’s participation in first day of the Conference is aimed at projecting Pakistan’s economic and investment potential as well as its vision for the next five years.
The Conference will provide an opportunity to interact with important business leaders who are interested in investing in Pakistan.
Imran Khan will also call on King Salman and meet Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman and discuss with them matters of mutual interest.
Sources privy to government stated that three federal ministers and two state advisors will accompany PM.
After Saudi Arabia visit PM Khan is also scheduled to visit Malaysia and China. These visits have been scheduled amid economic crisis, in order to seek foreign investments. Later, on November 3, PM will again leave for China visit to hold meetings with high Chinese authorities to seek economic cooperation between two states. -NNI
