ISLAMABAD, October 25: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday attended the inaugural ceremony of Deli-JW Glass Manufacturing Complex, a Pakistan-China joint venture in private sector.
Addressing the ceremony, Imran Khan said Pakistan wanted joint ventures in private sector and establishment of Special Economic Zones and transfer of technology under the economic corridor (CPEC) project.
He expressed the hope that CPEC will prove a base to build future relationship between the two countries, adding that he was looking forward to going to China next week.
The prime minister said the government will also bring foreign investment to the country for its housing project of constructing five million affordable houses for people.
“We will ensure ease of doing business. Investment in Pakistan will be encouraged, which will help generate employment opportunities and alleviate poverty,” he added. – Agencies
