GUYANA, November 11: Pakistan have on Sunday posted their record highest total against India in ICC World Cup T20. India had won the toss and elected to field first.
Being sent in to bat, Pakistan lost three quick wickets for just 30 runs in the seventh over. However, Bismah Maroof and Nida Dar defied odds against strong Indian bowling side and 94 runs for the fourth wicket.
After Maroof and Dar’s departure, India were able to restrain Pakistan to 134 runs.
During the game, a penalty of five runs was slapped on Pakistan twice for running down on the danger area. This mean, India has to chase 125 runs in the allotted 20 overs.
It is Pakistan’ s highest total against any team in T20I. Agencies
