ISLAMABAD, December 7: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday has clarified Unites States that Pakistan is not your ‘hired gun’ anymore.
In an interview to Washington Post, Imran Khan responded to a question related to social media war with US president Donald Trump and said, “It was not really a Twitter war, it was just setting the record right. He needs to be informed about historical facts. Pak has suffered enough fighting US’s war. Now we will do what is best for our people and our interests.”
Talking about war against terrorism, Khan told that there are no sanctuaries of Taliban in Pakistan.
“When I came into power, I got a complete briefing from the security forces. They said that we have time and time again asked the Americans, “Can you tell us where the sanctuaries are, and we will go after them?” he added.
Replying to a question, the premier said that Pakistan’s relationship with China is not one-dimensional as it’s a trade relationship between two countries. We want a similar relationship with the U.S, he went on to say.
Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the State of Madina built by the Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) and The Righteously Guided Caliphs (RA) was based on democracy, equity, justice and the rule of law.
Addressing the students belonging to Balochistan, he said that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) gave the world its first ever constitution, that provided women equal rights including rights of inheritance and provided equity and justice to minorities.
The prime minister said that the 200 million Muslims of India today have neither leadership nor representation.
He said that Allama Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam had the vision and will to create an Islamic Welfare State for the Muslims of the subcontinent.
Khan said: “We are working to uplift Balochistan and bringing it up to par with the rest of the country and we are focused on the development and prosperity of our Baloch brothers.” -Agencies/DNA
