RAWALPINDI, December 18: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday met with Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar in Doha.
According to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release, COAS Qamar Javed Bajwa and Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani discussed measures to enhance bilateral security cooperation.
Talking to the COAS, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani appreciated Pakistan’s efforts and the positive role being played by the country for regional stability including Afghanistan.
The COAS thanked Qatar’s emir for continued support towards a negotiated political settlement for peace in Afghanistan. Later, the COAS attended the National Day Parade of Qatar and congratulated Lieutenant General Staff (Pilot) Ghanim Bin Shaheen Al Ghanim, Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces on a professional and impressive parade befitting Qatar’s national solidarity and progress.-Agencies
