RAWALPINDI, January 2: Army on Wednesday shot down yet another Indian drone, just a day after shooting down a spy quad-copter along the Line of Control (LoC).
“Pakistan Army troops shot down another Indian spy quad-copter,” said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a Twitter post. “Today in Satwal sector on the Line of Control.
On Tuesday, Army shot down an Indian spy quad-copter flying over the Pakistani side of the LoC in Bagh Sector. Last year, four such Indian drones had been shot down by Pakistani border guards. Earlier on Tuesday, the Foreign Office summoned a senior Indian diplomat to register a formal protest over the latest ceasefire violations by Indian troops, which left a woman dead and caused injuries to many others. Director General (SA & SAARC), Dr Mohammad Faisal, summoned Indian acting deputy high commissioner and condemned unprovoked ceasefire violations by Indian forces along the LoC on December 31, 2018 in Athmuqam-Shahkot Sector. The Foreign Office said the Indian forces along the LoC and the Working Boundary were continuously targeting populated areas with heavy weapons.-Agencies
