ISLAMABAD, January 21: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Monday has filed a petition in Supreme Court (SC), stating that former president and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari had misrepresented facts regarding his assets in nomination papers.
The party demanded the court to disqualify Asif Ali Zardari over concealing the assets.
The petition was filed by PTI Senator Usman Dar, who requested to disqualify the former president under Article 62-1(F). It also contains details of assets reportedly concealed by the PPP leader in his election nomination papers. Dar also submitted tax receipts of Zardari’s New York apartments to the court. – NNI
