ISLAMABAD, February 4: On Monday, February 4, a flag hoisting ceremony was held at the High Commission of Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Islamabad to mark its 71st Independence Day. Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Taimur Akram (Retd) – Executive Director CGSS along with the CGSS members participated on the occasion. His Excellency Mr. Noordeen Mohamed Shaheid – High Commissioner of Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to Pakistan in his speech thanked CGSS and commended the efforts of CGSS. He stated that CGSS has played a vital role in the enhancement of bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and Pakistan. The flag hoisting ceremony was attended by a large number of participants including prominent Pakistani and Sri Lankan community based in Pakistan.-PR
