No body took to the streets even in his home town Shikar pur where he is said to have some political influence,so Agha Siraj Durrani must be a disappointed man today. Moreover, Zardari, his sister, Khurshid Shah and other persons of their ilk in the PPP must be having sleepless nights also as they too have a lot to live down. They might well be on the radar of NAB.
The Sharifs of Jati Umra have got their just deserts. Heavy political clout as well as fat purse and the best brains in the legal profession have not been able to save them from the clutches of law hitherto.
Just as fish cannot survive outside the water many politicians including those who have been booted out of power by the electorate during 2018 elections simply cannot live comfortably outside the citadel of power. The condition of the Sharifs is more pitiable in the sense that they are chicken-hearted too when it comes to confinement in jail. Nobody among them is Nelson Mandela or Bacha Khan who could endure long jail sentences without making any fuss. Though at the moment they have not been able to get a relief from anywhere and fly outside the country but odds are that they would go the whole hog in their efforts to get outside the clinker one way or the other just as they did when Musharraf had gaoled them. It is said that Khan Abdul Qaiyum Khan had lost a golden opportunity back in the late 1950s to earn a niche for himself in the world hall of fame of international leaders by asking for a pardon when he was arrested by the then rulers and in the same manner Nawaz Sharif missed the bus also when he hit it off with Musharraf back in 2000 when he was ousted from power and flew into Saudi Arabia.
