The Pakistan leg of the fourth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) is finally here and Karachi’s National Stadium is ready to see some mind-blowing action in the city of lights.
As the metropolis gets set for the March 9 game between Lahore Qalandars and last year’s winners Islamabad United, here are some of the overseas players we can’t wait to see in action.

Shane Watson

Quetta Gladiators all-rounder and former Australian cricketer Shane Watson is among the biggest star attractions visiting Karachi for the PSL matches.
Watson, who announced he will be travelling to Karachi with hopes that Gladiators win their maiden title, has been at the forefront of his team’s victories this season.
His unbeaten 91 runs against Peshawar Zalmi and 61 runs off 40 against Multan Sultans propelled Gladiators to the playoffs and at the top of the points table.
The 37-year old is the leading scorer this season with 332 runs at an incredible average of 47.42 and strike rate of 141.27.

Darren Sammy

Everyone’s favourite Windies superstar and Peshawar Zalmi skipper Darren Sammy will be in action in the city of lights as well. Sammy’s presence at the games will definitely be something to look forward to for the fans. After all, he’s won all the Pakistani hearts with his oft-declared love for Pakistan and its culture. So far this PSL, the Zalmi skipper has scored 129 runs with the highest score of 46.

DJ Bravo

Watson’s Quetta Gladiators team-mate DJ Bravo may have played only two games so far in this year’s PSL, but he will be raring to get into action in the remaining games.
Let’s hope we get entertained to a bit of his musical talent along with his cricket in the city of lights!

Luke Ronchi

Who doesn’t remember Luke Ronchi’s single-handed destruction of his opponents last year?! The former Kiwi international will again be in action for Islamabad United at Karachi’s National Stadium. Ronchi, with 297 runs from nine matches at a strike rate of 159.67, is the second-highest scorer of this PSL. He was instrumental in helping United pick their second title last year, and does not seem to be slowing down this season either.

Sandeep Lamichhane

Leave it to Lahore Qalandars to bring something new to the table every time. Although South African batsman AB de Villiers’ injury dealt a blow to fans’ dreams of seeing him in action in Karachi, the 18-year old spin sensation from Nepal, Sandeep Lamichhane, is not one to be underestimated.
With 10 wickets from just five games, Lamichhane is already on everyone’s radar with stints in Australia’s Big Bash League, Indian Premier League and the Bangladesh Premier League.
