ISLAMABAD, April 10: Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Hussain Qureshi has said Pakistan will continue to play its role for peace in the region including Afghanistan.
He made these remarks while talking to new Afghan Ambassador to Pakistan Mashal Atif, who called on him in Islamabad on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the situation of Afghanistan with special focus on Afghan reconciliation process came under discussion. The Afghan Ambassador applauded the endeavors of Pakistan for regional peace.
Meanwhile Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said Pakistan desires to bolster trade relations with all the African countries including Somalia. He was talking to the Somalian Ambassador to Pakistan in Islamabad on Wednesday. The Foreign Minister said strengthening economy is our foremost priority. Both the sides agreed to enhance cooperation in different areas including energy, education, infrastructure development and construction.-Sabah
