What if Imran Khan also fails to deliver?This question is troubling patriots of this country .Mian Nawaz Sharif,for all practical purposes is out of the reckoning ,because of the physical diseases that afflict him.His brother and other members of his family face criminal charges in mega corruption cases.For these reasons Nawaz League is in a disarray.Zardari too is in a tight spot.Bilawal is still in his salad days.He still has to pass eleven-plus exam in politics though to many his performance in the National Assembly, shows that before long he would be able to make his mark as a politician.About the other politicians and their political parties which are more regional than national in essence, the less said the better.None of them is capable to set the Thames on fire.
Because of lack of cooperation of the opposition parties no worthwhile legislative work has hitherto,been done in parliament which is unfortunate to say the least.Maulana Fazlur Rehman and other religious bigwigs of his ilk are going to add to the worries of the PTI after Ramadhan if economic condition of the country doesn’t improve by then.Had the main leaders of the two mainstream political parties named above been not involved in mega corruption cases they might well have jumped on the bandwagon of the JUI(F) before long.There is,however,still a remote possibility that even now they might join forces with it in order to save their skin.
A great deal would depend now as to how the new cabinet team turns out during the next three months.If it performed better than the previous one,it will be a saving grace for the PTI ‘s chairman,otherwise,it is not going to be a smooth sailing for the PTI government during the rest of its stint in office,how short or long it might be in office.
