Sporadic firing by the Afghan forces on the jawans of Pakistan Army engaged in the fencing of the Pak-Afghan border is not going to deter Pakistan army from completing its task as early as possible.Last week three of our soldiers were killed by such fire in North Waziristan.
The RAW is naturally perturbed over the fencing of this border for obvious reasons.Up till now it has been taking full advantage of the policy of open borders by sending terrorists through these porous borders inside Pakistan without any let and hindrance.The fencing of the border line plus the deployment of Army on the monitoring posts established there have made the task of the RAW quite difficult.
The RAW has been using the Pak-Iran border in Balochistan also for subversive activities in Pakistan thus forcing the Pakistan Army to fence Pak-Iran border too.
While our army has been doing its job quite steadily,the response of both the interior ministry and the foreign office in the matter has been rather lethargic.A strict visa regimen needs to be put into effect .No Afghan be allowed entry into this country without a visa which should be issued after careful scrutiny of the credentials of the applicant.He should be given visa for that city only which he wants to visit.He should be asked to mention clearly the purpose of his visit in his visa form .It should be made mandatory on him also to register his name,date and time of arrival in the city for which he has been given visa alongwith his passport number.He should repeat this exercise at the time of his departure.
