Modi’s victory at the hustings proves, if any proof is required, that his party, the BJP, has been able to mould the mindset of ordinary Hindu to Hinduvta, hook, line and sinker. The results of the 2019 elections confirm that India can no longer now claim itself to be a secular country. Steeped in diehard and dyed-in-the-wool Hindu nationalism and linguistic jingoism, it has always been the motto of the BJP that if the Muslims living in India want to enjoy the status of first rate citizens of India they had better embrace Hinduvta , otherwise, they have no other option but to accept either their status as second rate citizens of India or else go to Pakistan.
Not that the Indian Congress party had any soft corner for the Indian Muslims. It too looked down upon them but its bellicosity against them wasn’t as severe as that of the BJP. Modi seems to be the alter ego of Hitler, Misoulanni and Trump. Like them , he is also a fascist, through and through.
A triumvirate of Afghanistan , India and the US is likely to raise its ugly head in the days to come with a dual agenda aimed at damaging Pakistan and China. India is still licking its wounds caused by its humiliation at the hands of China in the Sino-Indian border clashes of 1960s. It has never reconciled itself with the creation of Pakistan. Washington wants to dismember China the way it destroyed the mighty Soviet empire. Afghanistan has always been a willing partner of India against India’s subversive activities against Pakistan.
The coming days are very crucial for us. We have to close our ranks, sink our petty differences and stand behind our armed forces like a solid rock to keep at bay the hostile element.
