The common man would be keeping a vigilant eye on the next step of the PTI government against those Pakistanis who would not declare their hidden private assets by 30 th June 2019 deadline given by the PM to them. The PM has let it be known to the nation that his government has complete information about the hidden property and if their owners didn’t take benefit of the Amnesty Scheme of the government to get it regularised they will regret and rue the day they decided not to avail of this concession.
The common man of this country expects that the PM would deal with an iron hand against those who will not declare their private assets and make an example out of them by giving them stern punishment.
It is a pity that the rulers of this country have been imposing indirect taxes on the people of this country instead of levying direct taxes and ironically the feudal class and the sugar barons are given subsidies out of the poor taxpayer’s money. This practice must stop. Moreover, the quantum of taxes imposed in the budget on tobacco and carbonated drinks always fall far short of common man’s expectations who always expect heavy taxes on these items in order to discourage their use which is playing havoc with the health of the nation, particularly, its youth.

In point of fact, all those cricketers who are on the wrong side of thirty must be considering to call it a day as the ODIs and Twenty20 are pressure games requiring super fitness and a lot of energy.
