ISLAMABAD, June 26: The high-powered inquiry commission, formed to probe into the Rs24000 billion loans acquired in the last 10 years, held its first meeting in Islamabad on Wednesday.
The meeting was presided over by the head of the inquiry Hussain Asghar.
During the meeting, Special Finance Secretary briefed the meeting about foreign debts. The meeting also discussed the Terms of References (ToRs) for investigation regarding debt probe.
Speaking on the occasion, Hussain Asghar said that according to the directions of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the investigation should be transparent, adding that the team would investigate where the loans had been spent. -Agencies
