Regarding the much-debated video that Maryam Safdar has declared as a kind of Divine intervention, the analysis of Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan is simply brilliant. It is certainly not partisan. Chaudhry Sahib has expressed surprise that having caught hold of such a ‘priceless, evidence in support of her father’s innocence, why she hasn’t yet gone into the court of law and sought justice.
“The onus of proving the goodness of the video through forensic investigation that would establish that the video is not doctored, is on Maryam’s shoulders. I was expecting Khawaja Haris, Mian Sahib’s lawyer in the case to appear before the court of law with the original recording, and to seek his convicted client’s acquittal on the basis of this evidence”, says Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan.
Quite logical.
But if this ‘priceless evidence’ is a continuity of the Qatri prince’s letter, and the Calibri Font fiasco, Madam Maryam Safdar will only be interested in flaunting the videos in the press conferences and the public gatherings, screaming at the top of her voice. “This is the evidence which will prove that my father was convicted unjustly”.
Whose responsibility is it to uncover the truth behind this VIDEO? Of the government of Imran Khan? Of the Judiciary whore integrity has been questioned? Or of NO ONE?
