ISLAMABAD, July 11: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday assured Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani of foiling no-confidence motion against him moved by the joint opposition to dethrone the chariman Lower House of the Parliament.
Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani held an important meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan and discussed matters pertaining to no-confidence motion and overall political situation.
According to Dunya News sources, the prime minister assured Sanjrani of complete support over no-confidence motion.
Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Azam Khan Swati, Defence Minister Pervaiz Khattak and Leader of the House in the Senate Shibli Faraz were also present in the meeting
Sources said that Azam Khan Swati and Leader of the House in the
Senate Shibli Faraz briefed the prime minister on number game. On the occasion, PM Imran Khan said that he confident of foiling the opposition’s bid to dethrone Senate Chairman, adding that the opportunist people were trying to derail democracy. – DNA
