LAHORE, July 17: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has tightened the noose around son in law of former Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The Bureau has asked its headquarters to issue red warrants of Ali Imran.
NAB Lahore wrote a letter to headquarters on April 22 asking to issue red warrants of Ali Imran. Upon not receiving any notice from headquarters NAB Lahore again wrote a letter and started action in this regard.
Sources said red notice would be issued in coming days following which Interpol would be contacted for the arrest of Ali Imran.
Ali Imran is involved in Saaf Pani Company scam, Punjab Power Company scam and ERRA scam unearthed by Daily Mail a few days earlier. Former chief financial officer ERRA Ikran Naveed had confessed that Rs 13 million were transferred to Ali Imran. NAB had many times summoned Ali Imran to appear before investigation team but he did not appear and absconded.-Agencies
