Furqat Sidiqov in Islamabad on Thursday.ISLAMABAD, July 18: A delegation of Daily National Herald Tribune(NHT) headed by its CEO/Editor-in-Chief Ghulam Akbar called on H.E Furqat A. Sidiqov, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan at Uzbek Embassy in Islamabad on Thursday.
On this occasion both the sides had a detailed discussion on the existing friendly relations between the two countries.
The prospects of furthering relationship in different fields between the two countries also came up under discussion.
On his part the Uzbek Ambassador briefed the delegation about the spiritual relationship between the two countries. He also made the mention of historic and cultural bonds between the two countries.
On his part Ghulam Akbar highlighted the significance of Uzbekistan among the Central Asian Countries by saying that promotion of relations between the two countries is need of the hour. He also praised the role of His Excellency in cementing the ties between the two countries.
H.E. Furqat Sidiqov while mentioning the forthcoming Cultural Conference to be held in Uzbekistan in coming November extended an invitation to Ghulam Akbar for his participation.
On his part Ghulam Akbar accepted the invitation and expressed gratitude for the same.
Both the Ambassador and Ghulam Akbar praised the role of CGSS in promoting relationship between Pakistan and Central Asian countries especially with Uzbekistan.
