The government shouldn’t take 25 th July 2019 lightly. On that day the opposition would go the whole hog to demonstrate its street power on the roads and mind you, the common man isn’t happy with the skyrocketing price hike in edibles whatever the reasons. He is not in a position to make ends meet. A hungry man is an angry man and those belonging to the working class who don’t know where their next meal would come from aren’t happy with many policies of the government.
When the common man sees the same old so-called experts in finance again entering the citadel of power who had been calling the shots during the past twenty to thirty years he asks:Are we suffering from such a big brain drain that we don’t find new persons anywhere in this country capable enough to solve our financial woes?Must we rely again and again on the same faces who had ruled the roost in the past?If they could not deliver then have they any magic wand in their hand through which they would deliver now by waving it?
Washington has created a fairly powerful lobby for itself in the Foreign office whose job it is to ensure that Pakistan should never ever cuddle up to Moscow. The rulers should, therefore, be extra-cautious whenever they are briefed on any issue by the mandarins of the foreign office, Whatever they say should always be taken with a pinch of salt and double checked before taking any step.
POSTSCRIPT :Somebody has asked me a straight question through email:Can the political parties usher in true democracy in the country when in their own political set-ups worst type of dynastic politics is enforced ?Isn’t it a fact that barring an odd case head of every political party has appointed his son, brother, sister, brother or daughter as his second in command so that in case his number is up his next of kin should take over the command of his party?
