I honestly think IK in office has grown in a hugely incredible way. He has risen far above everyone’s expectations. The reason is simple. He always had IT in him. But is he ready to take up the challenge of demolishing this moth-eaten system? There will be no Riasat-e-Madina otherwise.

IK has always given me respect in 21 years of closeness. The reason is that I was quick to understand him. He is deceptively humble. He has storehouse of knowledge which he doesn’t flaunt. He is irritated when he is taught 2+2=4. “All the time I receive advice… Tonloads” he told me bitterly once.

Some intellectualised ultra-intellectuals have been envious of Imran Khan to the point of obscene jealousy. Talat is not in my mind. And some have wanted fiercely to become Aristotles to Imran Khan, believing he wouldn’t mind behaving like boyish Alexander. Haroon is not in my mind.
