ISLAMABAD, AUG 01(DNA) – Prime Minister Imran Khan telephoned Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz and thanked him for his efforts and support to Pakistan and its interests.
During the telephonic conversation, the Prime Minister stressed that the developing relations with Saudi Arabia is a top priority of his country. Imran Khan described Saudi Arabia as a friend that Pakistan trusts.
He said that his country cannot forget Saudi Arabia’s constant standing in all adversities and difficult times.
In response, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman praised the
distinguished relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
He also lauded the efforts of the two countries to strengthen and develop these relations in diverse fields. He also expressed the keenness of Saudi leadership to support Pakistan in all fields.
Earlier, Saudi Arabia’s media minister and military advisor to the defence minister called on Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the Pakistan Army’s military wing said.
In its press release, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said: “His Excellency Mr Turki Bin Abdullah Al Shabanah, Minister of Media Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and Major General Talal Abdullah Alotaibi, Military Advisor to HRH Minister of Defence KSA called on General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) at GHQ.”
The Kingdom’s ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf Saeed al Maliky, was also present during the meeting with Gen Bajwa on Wednesday.
The ISPR further said: “Regional security situation and matters of mutual interest discussed. COAS said that both countries have history of defence cooperation which Pakistan greatly values. Pakistan Army stands with Saudi Armed Forces in all fields. “COAS also expressed condolences on the death of Prince Bandar Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud,” the statement added. – DNA
