There are three different formats of cricket which are being played almost round the year thus taking a heavy toll on the energy of cricket players. The players are more injury-prone also these days and they are burning themselves out quickly also in their bid to make a quick buck.
It is also a fact that some players are adept at playing shorter version of the game like the ODIs and Twenty20s while others excel in the test matches spread over for five days. It won’t be a bad idea if keeping in view their playing temperament they are grouped in that category in which they stand more chances of putting up a good performance. If different players head the test, the ODIs and the Twenty20s sides so much the better.
The PCB had better build up the future three teams on the lines suggested above straightaway.
A lot of money has come into this game and if the young budding players who are in their teens or early twenties aren’t given proper lessons in morals, chances of their falling into the wrong hands cannot be ruled out altogether. Very few youngsters resist the temptation of the glamorous life and fat purse and go astray thus ruining their career and also bringing a very bad name to their country. They need to be told that if they allowed fame to go to their head their fate won’t be much different from Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif, Sharjeel , to mention a few. The example of Sachin Tendulkar is before them. Fame, money and glamour did not affect him a whit and throughout his cricketing career he resisted every type of worldly temptation and proved himself to be the best specimen of modesty , cool-headedness and hard work.
