ISLAMABAD, December 21: Chinese government will give Rs.94 million more funds for the provision of five additional facilities’ in Tehsil Headquarters Hospital and Government Higher Secondary School in Baffa, Tehsil Mansehra.
According to press release, in this regard Memorandum of Understanding was singed between Earthquake Reconstruction Rehabilitation Authority and Anhui Construction Company.
Chinese Embassy Economic and Commercial Councilor and ERRA representatives were present at the occasion. MoU was signed by ERRA and Chinese company official while ERRA Acting Deputy Chairman and Chinese Embassy Economic and Commercial Councilor witnessed the ceremony.
At the occasion Acting Deputy Chairman ERRA Brig. Abu Bakr Bajwa thanked China for Rs.94 million funds to build additional facilities in Baffa hospital and school.
At the singing ceremony Li Shaoton (Embassy Counselor) Economic & Commercial Office reiterated his government’s commitment to continue support for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of earthquake affected areas in Khyber Phaktunkhuwa and Azad Kashmir.
He said that Chinese government soon after devastated earthquake played its due role for building two grand facilities’ in Baffa Mansehra which included fully equipped 40 bedded Tehsil Headquarters Hospital at Baffa which costs Rs.412.5 million.
Acting Deputy Chairman ERRA also appreciated Chinese government for Rs. 94 million aid to carry out additional work i.e. THQ Baffa / GHSS Baffa which include Waste Water Treatment Unit, Medical Waste Burning Facility (Hospital), Drainage for the hospital, provision for voltage stabilizer in hospital and provision for voltage stabilizer in school.
