Humans are very peculiar species. Humans devotes most of its time in preaching peace, love, equality and morality but acts against all these values when it comes to self-interest.
It is not a desperate statement; it is the hard fact which can be substantiated by historical evidence. Heroes, who are worshipped, most of them fall in the categories that launched campaigns of destruction. Alexander the so-called great, the favourite hero of West, got the title of “the Great” by leading a campaign of destruction across the world. Europe spent centuries to kill each other to prove themselves the great nations. Modern superpowers emerged from the ashes of WW-1 and WW-II.
Human causalities and vast destructions of last century’s World Wars compelled human to think differently. However, this time human disguised interests by erecting a number of global institutes like UNs and IFIs. In addition, humans also created a number of global institutions. The number has reached at 7000. Despite the entire marvellous development world is still facing problems of conflicts, atrocities, bloodshed and genocides. Last century has introduced new means of genocides and capturing the sovereignty of nations. Two superpowers lift no stone unturned to divide the humanity at the name of ideology, economy, development and superiority. Superpower developed their state and non-state proxies and introduced a new way of undermining the dignity of human. The superiority complex of superpowers led to destruction and causalities in different parts of the world. Vietnam and Afghanistan became signs of the destruction and hundreds of thousands of people lost their lives and millions were affected by these wars.
Fall of one superpower gave a hope that maybe the sole superpower of this world help to reshape the world according to moral values and human dignity. Regrettably, the sole superpower chose another route and supported by the developed countries and so-called champions of humanity at one name or other. The new world order was devised to capture the resources of the world and silenced the voices at the name of freedom. Islam became the new punching bag and launched a campaign against Muslims, in the name of terrorism. Later on slogans of democracy, human rights and freedom of speech were invented. The war on terror started with an attack on Afghanistan and still, the hunt of countries is on.
Iraq was destroyed in the name of weapons of mass destruction (WMDs), that were never found but it gave birth to ISIS which turned to be a cruelest and destructive force. ISIS launched a campaign against humanity and killed hundreds of people and destroyed the home and livelihood resources. Next stop comes at Libya at the name of “Right to Protect”. The country brought to ashes and the protectors have vanished somewhere. People are dying and no human-rights champion is present to protect them. Syria is another type of game. Major countries came here either to protect the regime or opponents of the regime. We cannot say wn hat they achieved on saving human rights, but we are sure the humanity is suffering. Millions of people became homeless and they had to migrate within the country or out of the country. Europeans, the so-called human rights protectors are busy in throwing the refugees out of their countries, except few.
Kashmir and Palestine are two issues which continuously urge the global system to do soul searching. These issues are pending in the UNs system since the early days of UN. Both are suffering from the worst atrocities. Israel and India are applying all sorts of inhuman atrocities and humanity is at the mercy of cruel. The creators of the UN system are using every option to protect Israel and India. History of the UN Security Council is filled with Veto by the USA to protect Israel and strapping off Palestine from their legitimate rights. Historically USSR supported India in UN Security Council and used the veto against the rights of Kashmiris.
Now India blatantly violated all international commitments on Kashmir. India is on the way to strip Kashmiris from their right of self-determination. India is applying the worst types of atrocities. It has started to blind youth and using cluster bombs which are against international laws. It has also cut all sorts of communication means and has isolated Kashmiris from the world. The irony is that the international community is silent and only trying to avoid the situation by issuing statements. There is no country which can take it seriously and ask India to stop the atrocities. It seems the world is waiting for another mass murder or genocide of fellow human being.
UNs system is also under pressure, as Mr Modi has violated all resolutions of UN Security Council. Now it is a test of the UN’s will to enforce its resolutions. Now UN has to prove its credentials. In case of failure, it will lose all its remaining credibility. It is already under huge pressure, as it has failed miserably on major issues like Palestine and others. People are already questioning its significance.
However, the most disturbing reality for Pakistanis and Kashmiris is indifferent behaviour and attitude of Muslim countries, with the exception of only a few, towards Kashmir. Though it is satisfactory to note that people of all Muslim countries are with Kashmiris, but their governments are on the other side of the fence. Muslim countries also preferred to give priority to their economic interests on human rights. The most disturbing attitude is of the so-called champions of Muslim Ummah. The ruling class of these so-called champions of Ummah built their regimes in the name of Islam and Ummah but when Ummah needed them, they hid behind their economic interests and petty politics. It is clear from their stance after Indian brutality in Kashmir. It is highlighting the difference between their interests and the cause of Ummah. It seems these champions are only interested to build their regimes or power not to serve the cause of Ummah. If anyone of them were serious to serve the Ummah they need to come forward and fight for the Kashmiris.
Despite all these difficulties Pakistan is not bowing down to the situation. Pakistan is looking to retaliate and serve the cause of Kashmiris. Prime Minister of Pakistan also assured it to the people Pakistan and Kashmiris that Pakistan will do everything to help them to get freedom. Pakistan will not let any stone un-turn to help the Kashmiris and even ready to fight a war. The commitment of Pakistan is firm and will not be weakened due to any reason. Pakistan will stand by our Kashmiris till the last drop of blood to secure their right of self-determination.
