Abdullah Mustafvi

Month of Muharam has a special linkage to the grandson of Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) Imam e Hussain RA, who along with his faithful companions, wrote an unprecedented history of courage, steadfastness and devotion to the cause of Islam. All companions of Imam e Hussain RA stood fast in the battleground of Karbaladuring such tough testing times when thousands of troops encircled them for not extending a hand of cooperation towards usurper Yazid. 72 martyrs of Karbala headed by Imam e Hussain RA sacrificed their precious lives while resisting to cruel Yazidi regime which ceased fundamental human rights of women, kids and old aged people. Convoy of Imam e Hussain, which comprised non-combatants, was forcefully denied the freedom of movement and access to basic amenity like water.Since then, Yazid has become a symbol of cruelty, injustice and violence against non-combatant segments of society like kids , women and old aged masses. On the other hand , Imam e Hussain is alive in the pages of history as a symbol of freedom, courage, high moral values and resistance against rogue ruling regimes. Countless lessons of Karbala tragedy are timeless and everlasting ! Oppressed masses draw inspiration from the character of Imam e Hussain and his matchless companions who denied to kneel before a rogue usurper regime. Kashmir is the most recent and relevant example in this particular context! Rogue Indian state finds it extremely difficult to control the Kashmir with chains of curfew during the month of Mahram once Muslims specially revive the memories of Hussaini Resistance against Yazidi oppression. There is a strong similarity between mindset of Indian and Yazidi regimes. Both are usurper , oppressor , inhuman and violent . There is even stronger inspirational connection between the martyrs and kins of Karbala and occupied Kashmir. Being a Muslim majority area , Kashmir has always resisted Indian treacherous hold on its territory and affairs. Month of Muharam and stories of Karbala martyrs have always been a source of inspiration to oppressed Kashmiris who have been undergoing unprecedented state sponsored terrorism since decades. Kashmir , at the moment, is undergoing the worst mass human rights violations of the history .
A curfew and absolute communication black out stretched on a period of more than 40 days have reminded the Kashmiris about atrocities of Yazidi regime on convoy of Imam e Hussain. Undoubtedly, Kashmir is the Karbala of this era where innocent population has been denied access to food, water, medicines, communication , business and education. In the papers of Indian state, there is no concept of human rights for the Kashmiris . This inhumanity and oppression is boiling upin Kashmir during Muharam once traditionally Muslims pledge to resist against the oppression and illegitimate rulers. Recent naked cruelties of Indian government have provided enough grounds and reason to build a Kashmiri resistance movement with fresh vigor. Impact has started in the form of mass curfew violations in occupied Kashmir where Ashura processions are now building up the momentum of protests against Indian state sponsored terrorism. Every slogan raised against Yazidi regime in occupied Kashmir is actually pointed against Indian state which has ceased the fundamental human rights of Kashmiris. Every Kashmiri martyr has ideological linkage with Hussaini martyrs of Karbala. Kashmirisare today mourning for their young Ali Asghars and Ali Akbars who got martyred in the hands of occupied Indian forces. Just like Yazidi troops, Indian forces are burning the houses and insulting the Kashmiri women. Being Muslim is the biggest crime of Kashmiris who have opted to follow the glorious footsteps of Great Imam e Hussain RA. This path of glory is full of thorns, test of determination and sacrifices. Sentimental affection of oppressed Muslims with martyrs of Karbala and strong inspirational efficacy of great personality of Imam e Hussain RA is giving a new impetus to the freedom movement of Kashmir in this month of Muharam. With recent unprecedented clamp down in Kashmir, Indian state has emerged as modern Yazidi regime unleashing brutalities against innocent citizens . Incidents of firing by security forces on Ashura processions reported from Kashmir clearly reflect fear mounting on the minds of decision makers sitting in New Dehli. Act of revoking special status of State of Kashmir seems getting out of control of Modi regime which is yet unable to face Kashmir without curfew for even a single day. Muharam has given extra ordinary boost to already charged up sentiments of Kashmiri masses who find strong similarities with the heroes of Karbala. Sacrifices made by Imam e Hussain RA and his great companions in the desert of Karbala provide strong moral substance to Kashmiri masses who are facing Indian Yazidi regime in the Karbala of Kashmir.
