During his stay in the U. S. recently Imran Khan has said many things in many public forums which might have grated on the American leadership but the fact is that only he could call a spade a spade . His three predecessors, namely, Musharaf, Zardari and Nawaz Sharif would always talk tongue in cheek whenever they happened to visit US. There is every likelihood that the American CIA might try now to destabilise the prime minister because , true to its wont, Washington doesn’t tolerate any leader any where in the world who fails to toe its line or castigate it over its policies. The Americans want yes men and they must have been shocked to know that Imran Khan is not the sort of a person who would dance to their tune.
Trump and Boris Johnson are two such personalities who are known to be highly whimsical . More often than not they utter such words which don’t behove them. Self-praise is no recommendation. Wasn’t it strange, therefore, on the part of the American president to say that he considers himself duly qualified to be awarded Nobel prize?Churchill must be turning in his grave after knowing that Johnson is trying to show off that he is another Churchill.

After all how long we could use the placid cricket pitches of the UAE which have done more harm than good to our batting and bowling?Let us hope the new set-up in the PCB would be able to raise best possible teams in all the three formats of the game.
