Najam Sethi, Nusrat Javaid, Jugnoo Mohsan, Rashid Rahman and Imtiaz Alam etc are only different names. Basically they are all one state of mind (or mindset), and one personality. There are scores of others too in this category whose names need not be mentioned here.
They have an inbuilt dislike (or hatred) for phrases like ” Ideology of Pakistan”, “National Security”, “Islamic Republic”, “Shariah Laws” and “Quranic Injunctions”.
They are the logical allies of Washington. Like once upon a time they were the logical allies of Moscow.
Their ‘mantra’ in the times gone by was ‘proletarian rule’. Now their ‘mantra’ is human rights. In the past their prophet Stalin killed thirty lakh anti-revolution reactionaries in his home-state Georgia alone. In the present times their new masters might have killed as many anti-democracy ‘terrorists’ all over the world.
They all may try to have different interpretations for their worldview, and may construct different arguments, but fundamentally they are convinced that unless Pakistan is transformed into a massive killing field for the ‘pro-human rights’ forces, there is going to be no peace in the region.
One way to ensure the maintenance of peace in South Asia is to shift Pakistan’s GHQ from Rawalpindi to New Dehli. Another way to do so is to shift our Foreign Office from Islamabad to Washington.
I am not exaggerating my dear readers. The next time you listen to them or read their writings, do try to get behind their arguments.
Not all of them may be paid for their services. Some may be genuine Crusaders in the cause of humanity.
